What a day!

Ok today I was all pumped up to get all those piles of laundry done and clean up the clutter around the house. I was doing pretty good, until I decided to get all the ingredients for my soup ready to put together for dinner. I had to seed and chop up a jalepeno. Yes... I know there hot and your not suppose to touch your eyes (which I have done several times). It's funny how you just seem to get a itch right after you just touched one. We'll I had to itch my nose immediately after touching one. And OMG! the pain that shot thru both nostrils was scrutiating (spelling?). I thought I was going to die. I put a ice pack on my nose and man that made it worse when I removed it. I decided I couldn't take it anymore so I went online and googled (jalepeno burn in nose). I found a bunch of people stating the same thing LOL. One said put Rubbing alchohol on the area (so i did it) Okay that burned too, but did illiminate the pain a tad bit. Still pain came back still killing me. So I read further and people said try milk, then some people said milk didn't work. Well, I figured hey why not. I poured milk in a bowl and dabbed it with a paper towel and dabbed the inside of my nose. IT WORKED!!! So... If you ever have jalepeno burn in your nose, try milk. Well, that was my laugh for the day. Now, I am going to go back and do my laundry. That soup better taste amazing after what i went thru!!!

I always do this to my eye, and just did it on Sunday as I was making guac (which I think I'll make for next weekend too!), and was on the phone, chopped it and added way too mcuh, and then was talking and whammo, finger in the eye....same thing...pain, burning, ouch! Thanks for the milk tip - I'll be using that in the future!! Soups sounds good, hope it was!!! :)
