What a day!

Ok today I was all pumped up to get all those piles of laundry done and clean up the clutter around the house. I was doing pretty good, until I decided to get all the ingredients for my soup ready to put together for dinner. I had to seed and chop up a jalepeno. Yes... I know there hot and your not suppose to touch your eyes (which I have done several times). It's funny how you just seem to get a itch right after you just touched one. We'll I had to itch my nose immediately after touching one. And OMG! the pain that shot thru both nostrils was scrutiating (spelling?). I thought I was going to die. I put a ice pack on my nose and man that made it worse when I removed it. I decided I couldn't take it anymore so I went online and googled (jalepeno burn in nose). I found a bunch of people stating the same thing LOL. One said put Rubbing alchohol on the area (so i did it) Okay that burned too, but did illiminate the pain a tad bit. Still pain came back still killing me. So I read further and people said try milk, then some people said milk didn't work. Well, I figured hey why not. I poured milk in a bowl and dabbed it with a paper towel and dabbed the inside of my nose. IT WORKED!!! So... If you ever have jalepeno burn in your nose, try milk. Well, that was my laugh for the day. Now, I am going to go back and do my laundry. That soup better taste amazing after what i went thru!!!

Volley Ball

Well the kids both went to their very first Volley Ball Draft today. To our surprise and theirs they did pretty darn good. I was very proud of them both. We find out on the 3rd who their coaches will be and then committed to the next 8 weekends for games. (except one) we are going out of town (oops) hope they don't get upset.

Otherwise my Saturday is pretty darn unproductive. Didn't do one thing I wanted to get done here at the house.

Next Saturday night i get to go to a hotel in Lakeforest and digi scrap with my friend Michele. I sooooo can't wait and it is definately a night needed out.

Easter

This Easter was really kick back. We did a simple BBQ (filet migon, Grilled Vegies, Baked Potatoes and salad with homemade Blue Cheese dressing). Very yummy! My Cousins kids came down from Washington during Spring Break from college. The girls and my mom came down on Saturday and we hung out by the pool had yummy homemade spagetti for dinner and let the kids color Easter eggs. The girls wanted to go check out the Spectrum so we took them down in the evening for some shopping and dessert. Sunday a.m. Tony took the girls down to Laguna Beach while me and Mom hung back and got things prepped for dinner. When the kids got back there was more swimming and sunbathing by the pool and then we of course stuffed ourselves with dinner.

Troop 1157

This is my awesome Brownie Troop. I am the leader of 11 3rd Grade girls. We have a lot of fun together and have made some great friends. Here are a few pictures of our Easter Egg hunt yesterday at the Via Grande Park here in our neighborhood. Aren't the girls cute.

Proud Mama

Aaron was in a play at school on Tuesday. His Student Teacher Miss Baggio wrote up a short but cute play on Who stole the cookie from the cookie jar. Aaron was Judge Chip. It was a really cute play. I was very proud of him. Great job Aaron!

St. Patty's Celebration

Tonight we had a fun night at our friends Debbie and Brads house. Debbie does her annual Cornbeef Brisket sandwiches which are delicious. We had Green Beer and wine and lots of delicious side dishes brought by all the guests.

Thanks Debbie for a great night.

Presidents Weekend 2008

During our Presidents Weekend Break, we went to the desert with our friends Debbie and Cindy. We always have such a great time with them when we go. It is a fun filled weekend of dirt, Quad riding and getting fun rides in the buggy's. Alyssa and Aaron could ride quads for hours and hours and never get bored. Aaron always enjoys hanging out with his friends Connor and James when camping. Alyssa for the first time had a girl to hang with for one night. Her longtime friend Katherine was out there with her family so the girls got to ride together and hang out.

Digi Scrap Night

Well, after a fun night with my friend Misha getting our Digi Scrap stuff organized, I realize I have a lot of clean up to do on my poor computer. I am determined to get it cleaned out so that when we go on our Digi Scrap weekend we can actually get pages done. Thanks Misha for your help last night it was a lot of fun chatting and have wine and appetizers.

Especially thank you for getting my blog in the style I wanted too. I hope to keep up on things like you do. Your my mentor :o)
